Get Ready for HUD’s New Inspection Standards

Units subsidized by the Housing Authority must be inspected before a new tenancy can begin and periodically during the tenancy. Understanding what the inspection entails can improve your chances of passing the first inspection. HUD is moving away from Housing Quality Standards (HQS) to a new inspection protocol, called NSPIRE. This session will provide timely information about how NSPIRE is changing inspections, what’s staying the same and how you can get ready for the Housing Authority’s October 1st implementation of NSPIRE. Attendees will receive valuable information and materials to prepare to pass an NSPIRE inspection.
